Japanese PM cancels India visit

Guwahati : Japan has called off the December 15 visit of its Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Guwahati in view of the prevailing situation in the capital city of Assam, according to official sources here.

The Japanese PM and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were scheduled to meet in the city for discussing bilateral issues. The administrations had made elaborate preparation for the summit.
