MLA writes to Shah for full exemption, ILP

SHILLONG: Mawlai legislator from Congress, P T Sawkmie has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for exemption of whole Meghalaya from the purview of Citizenship Amendment Act. Sawkmie said in his letter that considering the current situation, there is a need to exempt Meghalaya from CAA. Secondly, Sawkmie wanted ILP to be implemented at the earliest to prevent influx.
