Protest march, public meetings on CAA, ILP

SHILLONG/GUWAHATI: The indigenous women of the state will take out a protest march in Motphran on Wednesday at 12 pm to demand Inner Line Permit (ILP) and the state’s exemption from Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
The Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organisations will hold a public meeting on Wednesday at Iawmusiang, Jowai at 12 pm and in Dawki market at 4 pm on the same day.
Meanwhile, the Ri Bhoi District Congress Committee will hold a public meeting at the MUDA complex in Nongpoh from 3 pm on Tuesday to discuss matters such as the implementation of the ILP, repeal of the CAA, besides other issues pertaining to the state, party sources informed The Shillong Times on Monday.
