SPARK’s pre-Christmas celebration for children

SHILLONG: SPARK organised a high-spirited pre-Christmas celebration with around 200 underprivileged children including slum children, child labourers, ragpickers, domestic helpers, physically-challenged children, street children and other distressed children from East Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi district.
The programme commenced with a prayer service by the children, following which, the president and founder of SPARK, Shima Modak, stressed on the essence of organising such programmes for the distressed, underprivileged children, thereby, making the day really special for them.
Many fun-filled performances by the children, showcasing their talents, were also witnessed during the celebration.
A special get-together programme was also organised for the children.
