SHILLONG: Laban SC, Tornado, Nongmynsong SC and Aparajita registered wins, on Friday, during the 7th Ardhendu Chaudhuri day & night tennis ball cricket tournament. In the first match played between Laban SC and Vintage, the latter won the toss and elected to bat first. Vintage scored 43 runs in 6 overs, while Laban SC easily chased the target in 5 overs and won the match by 6 wickets. In the second match, Tornado won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, ICCA scored 39 runs in 6 overs, however, in 4 overs, Tornado thumped their opponents with 4 wickets left to spare. In the third match of the tournament, played between Nongmynsong SC and Heritage, Nongmynsong SC won the toss and elected to bat first. Scoring 50 runs in 6 overs, Nongmynsong began defending the total and thus ended restricting their opponents to 47 runs to win the match. In the last match, Aparajita batted first and scored 65 runs in 5.2 overs. Free Soul Brothers failed to chase down the daunting target and handed their opponents a 43-run win.
