Office shifted
The Labour Commissioner, Meghalaya informed that the office of the Labour Commissioner, Shillong has been shifted to Horse Shoe Building, 1st Floor, Lower Lachumiere and is now functioning from the above new office. Henceforth, all communications may be addressed to the new location.
Condolence
Shillong Socio-cultural Assamese Students’ Association (SSASA) mourns the sudden demise of Deepak Mili, former president and general secretary of SSASA, who was a leader for boosting the fraternal unity amongst the students of NE region with special reference to the Khasi community. He breathed his last on Wednesday. The association prayed to the Almightly for his soul to rest in peace and also to give strength to his family members to bear with the irreparable loss.
Shrimanta Sankardev Cultural Centre, Bishnupur held a condolence meeting of Gyan Prakash Mahanta , Pradeep Nath and Rana Baruah and observed two minutes silence and prayed to the Almighty for their eternal peace.
Unclaimed body
The Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills informed that an unknown 75-year-old man was found sick and lying at GS Road Shillong on December 30, 2019. He was shifted to Civil Hospital for medical treatment and was admitted. On January 5, he expired and the body is kept in Civil Hospital morgue for identification. His complexion is swarthy. He has short and white colour, white colour beard and has a height of 4ft. Citizens are requested to contact 0364-2222277 to identify the deceased.
