Fraudulent transaction
Kimmi Jain lodged a complaint that on December 31, Rs. 4,999 was debited from her SBI account without her knowledge. Furthermore, on January 1 around 12:19 am, Rs 39,999 was again debited from her account without her knowledge.

Forgery
Louis Kharmawlong lodged a complaint that one Merika Lakiang forged an appointment letter to one person in the Office of the Chief Executive Engineer, PWD (Roads), North Jowai Division, WJH, with an intention to defame his reputation.

Theft
Hitesh Kumar lodged a complaint that on January 13 at about 12:20 pm, unknown miscreant(s) stole his mobile phone in Police Bazar.
Kiewdor Jitem lodged a complaint that on January 11 around 6:40 pm, unknown miscreant(s) stole his mobile phone from M/s Naveen Sweet Shop, Laitumkhrah Bazar.

Assault
Indrewdean K Marak lodged a complaint that on January 12 around 8:30 pm, his son-in-law viz., Becking George Momin, assaulted his wife Flalinda M Marak and his daughter at Mawpun. As a result, the victims sustained injuries.

Marijuana recovered
Suraj Rai of General Post Office, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on January 10 around 12 pm, an unknown miscreant left one parcel at MPCM Counter No. 4 and did not return. The address of the sender is David Tsangtam from Madanrting, while the recipient’s address is Alex Chakma of Vandana Enclave 8th Cross Venkatapura, Korammangala, Bangalore. Suspecting that the parcel may contain illegal substances, the complainant informed the police, who later opened the parcel and found marijuana.
