Body recovered at 25 Mer in Ri Bhoi

NONGPOH: Ri Bhoi Police on Thursday evening recovered a male body lying on the roadside of National Highway-6 at 25 Mer, near Shangbangla which was covered with a blanket. The deceased was identified as Sushil Gorai (35) hailing from Lapur Rangsagar, West Bengal.

As per sources from the police, the deceased has been missing from home for almost a week and that his family members had even file a missing complaint on January 12. It was also suspected that the deceased was murdered before he was dumped here on the roadside.

After thorough investigation, the police also managed to nab two suspects who may be involved in this crime. However, police refused to give the names of the accused as the investigation in this regard was still on.
