SHILLONG: The Synjuk ki Nongsynshar Shnong ka Bri U Hynniewtrep (SNSBH) general secretary R.L. Blah said that the Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, has called a meeting of traditional heads from different Dorbar Shnong on Thursday as part of the sensitisation programme for the implementation of Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Act (MRSSA).
Speaking to media persons here, he said that the next meeting will be held again on Monday. During the meeting on Thursday, having a full time data operator in every Dorbar Shnong was discussed to ensure that names of their respective residents are entered. The data will also be shared with the state government.
Blah said there has to be a uniform template which is more crucial in areas with mixed communities.
He said that data of indigenous and non-indigenous people, school students, even central government employees will be maintained as residents within the Dorbar Shnong should comply with the Act.
