TURA: A complaint has been submitted to the West Garo Hills deputy commissioner alleging violation of rules in the selection of the Secretary and President of the Moulakandi VEC part-II and part-III. The complaint was made by one Mozidur Rahman in which he claimed that several of the orders issued by the deputy commissioner in connection with the VEC were violated by the authority concerned.
According to Rahman, the Moulakandi VEC part-II and part-III have been further divided into two parts and letters and orders issued by the deputy commissioner to cancel the bifurcation have not been complied with. “The concerned authority has turned a deaf ear to all orders and instructions which is nothing but a gross violation of the norms and policy of VEC formation”, Rahman claimed.
Rahman further claimed that no public meeting was held to select the secretary and president of the VEC and urged the deputy commissioner to adopt legal recourse to give justice to the general public of the area.
