Umpung-Mawpud road temporarily closed

MAWKYRWAT: The Umpung-Mawpud road in South West Khasi Hills District is temporarily closed due to the damaged of the RCC slab culvert.
Informing this, the Executive Engineer (EE) PWD (Roads), Ranikor Division, M Kharnaior said that the Umpung-Mawpud road is closed to all vehicular traffic as the old RCC slab culvert located at the 2nd KM is damaged and poses danger to movement of vehicles, while adding that temporary restoration work is under progress and opening of traffic will be intimated in due course.
