SHILLONG: As many as five officers and personnel from the state have been awarded President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service, Police Medal for Meritorious Service and Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service on the occasion of Republic Day.
Ricky Dkhar, Deputy Inspector of Police (SB/ Security) has been awarded President’s Police Medal (PPM) for Distinguished Service while Bhalchand Mishra, Un-Armed branch Sub-Inspector of Police, Office of the Additional Director General of Police (Special Branch) has been awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Lambok Shadap, Un-Armed Branch constable, East Khasi Hills DEF too was awarded Police Medal for Meritorious Service while Aljwin Rani and Anith Marak, who are leading firemen have been awarded Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service.
