Sanbor moves Rijiju for Games help

SHILLONG: BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai met Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju at his New Delhi residence and sought more support for the state for the upcoming National Games slated for 2022.
He sought the support of the Union minister for developing the Shillong Cantonment ground for the Games and also for the welfare of the civilians residing in the cantonment area.
The MLA urged him to organise youth development programme to be funded by the central government in which various stakeholders of the society, sports clubs and youths can be mobilised.
The MLA also urged the minister to support a programme which is aimed at connecting job providers to benefit the local youth.
Sanbor also sought party support to organise youth development programme in South Shillong constituency as a start to the future initiatives.
