Theft
Dinesh Rai lodged a complaint that on January 27 between 2-4 am, unknown miscreant(s) trespassed into his shop at MG Building, Grand Hotel, Police Bazaar, and stole Rs 13,000 in cash and goods valued around Rs 1,14,560.
Ramesh Kumar Aman lodged a complaint that on January 27 around 3 pm, he found out that unknown miscreant(s) stole three batteries valued around Rs 21,000 and battery cables valued around Rs 60,000 from Reliance Trends, Police Bazaar.
Rohim Ali lodged a complaint that on January 22 around 9.30 am, one Izial Warjri stole a carton containing seven plates of eggs, which were kept near the complainant’s shop at Iewduh. However, on January 25 around 1 pm, the complainant, along with Hima Mylliem Police personnel, managed to apprehend the accused.
Cattle seized
SI SN Biswas, MCP Commander, lodged a complaint that on January 25, during MCP duty on NH-06, EJH, he detected one truck (AS-01JC-9256) loaded with 23 heads of cattle, without proper documents.
Satist Kumar of ‘F’ Coy, BSF, BOP Ryngku, EKH, lodged a complaint that on January 22, unknown miscreants attempted to smuggle seven heads of cattle to Bangladesh. However, on seeing the BSF personnel, the smugglers fled away, leaving behind the cattle.
Coal transportation
On January 25, during checking at Umkiang, EJH, police detected twelve dumper trucks (ML-11-5779, ML-11-2679, ML-11-3279, ML-04C-4988, ML-10-7682, ML-11-1333, ML-11-5205, ML-04B-6360, ML-11-4635, ML-10C-0833, ML-11-7357 and ML-10B-7687), which were transporting coal illegally. In this connection, 11 persons have been arrested.
Phone snatched
Debojit Chanda lodged a complaint that on January 24 around 8 pm, four unidentified miscreants snatched his mobile phone at Golf Links.
Ram Bahadur lodged a complaint that on January 6, two unidentified miscreants snatched his mobile phone at Polo Hills.
