CRPF pays respect to slain martyr’s mother and father

TURA: The parents of a brave heart belonging to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) who laid down his life in the line of duty during an operation against Maoists in Jharkand in 2018,were recently felicitated by the force.

Utpal Rabha of 209 CoBRA of the CRPF was killed on July 6, 2018 while he fearlessly mounted an assault on the Maoists despite being hit by a bullet. Rabha was a resident of Thorikapara village under Bajengdoba police station in North Garo Hills.

For his bravery in sacrificing his life for the motherland, Rabha was awarded the ‘President’s Police Medal for Gallantry (Posthumously) by the Government of India during the 71st Republic Day celebration this year.Meanwhile, highly placed officials of the CRPF including DIGP CRPF Range, Guwahati, J P J Ray, Commandant 120 Bn CRPF, B C Dalbehera, Second in Command 120 Bn CRPF, Anil Kumar Singh and others recently paid respect to Brojendro Rabha and Bakhowa Rabha (Father and mother of Rabha) at their hometown.
