SHILLONG: The BSF on Friday faced the wrath for being a mute spectator when suspected Bangladeshis assaulted locals along the international border areas of Meghalaya and Bangladesh.
The KSU accused the border security guards for not preventing the illegal entry of six Bangladeshis from the other side of the boundary.
Stating that it was the courage of the residents of Bakur village in Dawki that prevented further assault, Synkrem alleged that one person, Suman Baishnab, a resident of Assam facilitated the entry of Bangladeshis and was trying to take them to Lad Rymbai.
The union also alleged that the assault of a person from Nongtalang who went missing from his home and was found with cuts, wounds on his body is the handiwork of the Bangladeshis.
