MLA assures implementation of schemes in Nongstoin

NONGSTOIN: Nongstoin MLA Macmillan Byrsat said that the multipurpose hall at Upper New Nongstoin was approved by the state government and various road connectivity projects will soon be implemented in the town.
Speaking at the 25th anniversary of the Seng Samla Block-III of Upper New Nongstoin, he announced that he has sanctioned the scheme for the closing ceremony of the silver jubilee.
The Seng Samla Block-III had organised a weeklong programme which culminated on Saturday. The chairman of Meghalaya State Law Commission and MLA Macmillan Byrsat was the chief guest besides guest of honour B Kharjana, DSP (Crime), West Khasi Hills. Performances by different local groups and local artistes including the band “3 of A Kind” and “Thunder’s Cave”, with their trademark Khasi songs, filled the streets with crowd from nearby localities.
