MAWKYRWAT: With the Langrin MDC bye-election scheduled to be held on February 28, the District Magistrate of South West Khasi Hills District, Isawanda Laloo has imposed Section 144 CrPC throughout the 26-Langrin Constituency prohibiting carrying of arms, weapons or any kinds of explosive items in public places.
“All licensees are further directed to deposit their arms in the nearest police stations including Mawkyrwat, Ranikor and Nonghyllam police stations,” the district magistrate said.
Laloo also said that the order will extend throughout the area of 26-Langrin District Council Constituency of Ranikor Civil Sub-Division and South West Khasi Hills.
