SWKH DC inspects projects before Synod Service

Mawkyrwat: As part of the preparation for the Synod Service which will be held at Jakrem Presbyterian Church, South West Khasi Hills District, from March 5-8, Deputy Commissioner Isawanda Laloo, along with the officials of various government departments, on Friday visited Jakrem village and inspected different projects.
During the inspection, it was found out that almost all the projects including roads, drinking water, electricity and parking lots were almost completed.
Besides government officials, others who were present during the inspection include Myntri of Jakrem village Pascal Wahlang, representative of Synod Development Committee Rev. P Nongsiej and local leaders including Donbok Kharjahrin and Jes Nongsiej, among others. Local MLA, Renikton L Tongkhar, who planned for the joint inspection, could attend as he was returning from Delhi from meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Inner Line Permit (ILP).
The representatives of the Synod Development Committee and local leaders from Jakrem praised local MLA, Renikton L Tongkhar, for taking the responsibility to bring various developmental activities in the village as preparation for the Synod Service. They also praised Laloo and other officials for their hard works.
Donbok Kharjahrin informed that local MLA, Renikton L Tongkhar, had recently distributed 209 plastic water tanks for water storage to the households within the Jakrem Presbyterian Church, so that they can use them during the Synod Service.
