GUWAHATI: Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold interactive sessions on the Union Budget 2020-21 with industry representatives, trade bodies and investment bankers here on February 27, 2020.
Sitharaman will also hold another detailed interactive session with economists, academicians, policy experts, tax experts and various other opinion leaders regarding the salient features of the Budget which was presented in Parliament on February 1, 2020.
The finance minister will be joined by Rajeev Kumar, secretary (finance and department of financial sevices), Atanu Chakraborty, secretary (department of economic affairs), Ajay Bhushan Pandey, secretary (revenue), T.V. Somanathan, secretary (expenditure), P.C. Mody, chairman, Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Ajit Kumar, chairman, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).
Sitharaman had taken part in similar interactive sessions in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, an official statement issued here on Tuesday, said.
