TURA: The A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) on Wednesday demanded the speedy construction of the Tribal Research Institute at Chidekgre, the foundation stone for which was laid about a year ago.

The proposed institute comes under the Department of Art and Culture and the movement lamented that no work has been started on the project.

According to the movement, its leaders recently visited the site and also discussed the issue with the stakeholders involved. The movement has also requested the department concerned to speed up the construction process. Stating that it would closely monitor the works on the project, the movement warned that it would not hesitate to file an RTI or approach the court of law if the project fails to take off.
