414 students return to state

NONGSTOIN: The Deputy Commissioner, during an emergency meeting with the headmen of Greater Nongstoin area, has announced that till date 414 students and professionals, who returned, were registered with the district administration.
Out of 414, 12 showed signs and symptoms of normal flu and were monitored by the authorities of Civil Hospital. Besides, two of them are in a recovery stage.
Regarding the essential commodities, the district magistrate urged the people of Nongstoin not to panic because the food and supply department has released the essential commodities in advance for two months and the beneficiaries will also receive more than what they have received before.
The Superintendent of Police said that during the last three days of curfew, 95% people have cooperated and 5% are violators.
He threatened to take action against violators by stating that if they fail to cooperate, they will be jailed for 6 months.
“It is not the law and order situation but it is the epidemic or the life and death situation which matters”, he said.
The official also urged the headman to issue direction against the violators.
