NGO helps underprivileged

SHILLONG: Different NGOs and groups continued to serve the people during the lockdown with the Islamic Centre, Mawbah, on Monday providing essential commodities, including food items, to as many as 100 people in Jhalupara, Mawbah and nearby areas in the city.
Meanwhile, the AdventuRers distributed khichdi and halwa to more than 200 people from different communities on Monday.
On the other hand, members of the Stray Animal Rescue Society provided food to stray animals in the city.
