MDC fund for virus crisis

SHILLONG: KHADC CEM Titosstarwell Chyne informed that in view of the lockdown, it was decided to sanction Rs 10 lakh to each MDC to enable them to utilise the fund for the interest of the public. He observed that due to the lockdown, the labourers and the poor are facing problems in procuring essential items.
Speaking to reporters, he said that the Rs 10 lakh to be spent by the MDCs will be of great help to the people of their respective constituencies. The MDCs can procure essential items and accordingly prepare Utilisation Certificates.
