Violation of order
On April 1, around 4 pm, five persons – Mawlynnai Wanrap (18), Darin Shangpliang (18), Micky Blein (20), Manish Ghosh (24) and Paila Mawrie (24) – were apprehended for violating the order issued by the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills.
On March 30, one Maruti Alto (ML-05U-0050), driven by Pynskhemborlang Swer (26), violated the order issued by the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills by carrying goods in his vehicle. Further, the accused also used abusive language on the police personnel on duty.

Four arrested for stealing
BK Choudhury of 101 Area, F-Camp, Signal Regiment, C/o 99 APO, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on April 1, four persons -Meghna Sonar, Md. Hussain, Gunil Ajong and Martin Tariang – were apprehended while they were attempting to steal jelly field cable (JFC) and cable drums. It is reported that during the past one week, 6 drums of carrier cards, 4 drums of WD and JFC were found missing from ASCON Node near Anjalee Complex, Shillong.
