Portal to verify fake news

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Police launched a COVID-19 fake news verification portal where the public can verify the authenticity of news which are circulated in social media and other medium. The link to the portal has been hosted in the website www.megpolice.gov.in under the page tab COVID-19 FAKE NEWS. After the information has been verified, the applicant will be initiated through SMS and email.
