SHILLONG: An under-developed foetus was found lying at Holy Ground, Catholic Cemetery Compound, Laitumkhrah by some people from the locality on March 31, the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills informed. The foetus was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital for conducting post-mortem examination and is kept in the hospital morgue for identification. The foetus is approximately four to five months developed.
Man found hanging
In a separate incident, an unidentified male person, aged 30 to 35 years, was found hanging from the iron staircase inside the cemented water tank of the construction site at Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management (RGIIM) Umsawli, East Khasi Hills, by villagers of Umsawli.
The body was shifted to NEIGRIHMS for conducting post-mortem examination and is kept at the hospital morgue. The deceased has swarthy complexion, black hair, oval face with beard and moustache and was found wearing black pants, black shirt and slippers. Standing 5.5 ft tall, his body is built thin. Unclaimed body
The Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Civil Hospital, Shillong, has informed that a 25-year-old male patient named Robin Syiemlieh, c/o Sawlad, East Khasi Hills was admitted in the hospital on March 31. The patient expired on April 6. All concerned are requested to collect the body from the hospital morgue within a period of 3 days failing which the body will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
