SWGH bans vehicle movement after 7 pm

SHILLONG: In view of positive COVID-19 cases in Assam including South Salmara district, the District Magistrate,  South West Garo Hills has banned the movement of all types of vehicles to and from Mankachar area and other areas of Assam via South West Garo Hills district’s main roads including other small roads after 7 pm every day.
All vehicles having passes for distribution of essential commodities will operate daily from 5 am to 7 pm near the Assam-Meghalaya border for emergency works only.
