Bethany praises corona superheroes

SHILLONG: The Nodal Officer of Bethany Hospital, Shillong Kyntiewlang Sanmiet expressed gratitude to everyone during this time of COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement issued here, he said, “I am writing this letter of appreciation and gratitude to all our current superheroes who are spending their days and nights to make sure that everyone has access to medical care, food, transportation and other vital services and for fighting the pandemic wreaking havoc over our entire society”.
He observed that over the past week, the state has witnessed panic and chaos, but also kindness and generosity, inter-generational support and solidarity, and most importantly, the fortitude which the frontline workers have exuded day in and day out since the outbreak of this pandemic in the state. “Everyone is stepping up to support each other in unexpected and beautiful ways. Together we can be bigger. When we as human beings want, we can come together and persevere”, he said.
Expressing gratitude for the selfless efforts of different communities, on behalf of Bethany Hospital, Shillong, he thanked the healthcare workers, for their unrelenting commitment and cooperation.
He thanked Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, his team of ministers and the entire government, bureaucrats and Director of Health services Aman War for helping the medical team during these very difficult times.
Sanmiet also appreciated SP Claudia Lyngwa and her team and also the DC Matsiewdor War and her office for helping them in smooth transport of their needs at this very difficult time. He thanked the journalists and public health officials, municipal workers. Finally he said, “Together we will be victorious and defeat this pandemic. Take care of yourselves and each other”.
