JH muster roll workers thank govt for pay

JOWAI: The All Jaiñtia Muster Roll Workers & Labour Union Jowai has thanked Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong for release of their salary.
”Muster roll workers in various government departments have received their dues and it has help them during the current situation when the state and the country along with the world is fighting against COVID-19″, the union president, KL Pariat said.
The union has also expressed its gratitude to the Principal Secretary (Labour), DP Wahlang for releasing financial assistance to members of the union.
Stating that the state government and the district administrations in East and West Jaintia Hills has taken initiative to stop over pricing of essential commodities in the district, the union expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Commissioners and SPs in Jaintia Hills.
“We hope that the actual price of all essential commodities in the district be implemented thoroughly as per sections of the Essential Commodities Act 1955”, the union stated.
The union further requested the state government to help Mid-day meal scheme cooks and labourers not registered in the Public Distribution Scheme.
