Shiv Mandir committee helps poor during lockdown

JOWAI: The Shiv Mandir Committee, Jowai has extended help by distributing essential commodities to the poor and needy in many villages in West Jaintia Hills.
Packets of food grains including rice, dal, salt, sugar, tea, oil, potato and others were distributed to families living in different parts of West Jaintia Hills during this crucial time.
‘We started donating a few days ago and finished on Saturday. 1300 packets of rice were distributed in villages including Iongnoh, Khleihtyrshi, Sohmynting, Thangbuli, Moopyut, Umlatkur, Moosakhia, Sohmnong, Skenpyrsit, Skentalang, Muktapur, Lad-Pysih, 7th Mile, Pysih, Mupliang, Nongbah, Mihmyntdu, Myrjai and Iawmusiang Jowai till April 25″, said a committee member.
