Mobile shops exempted from curfew in JH

JOWAI: Following the order issued by the Ministry of Home Affair and the state government, the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills has informed that some mobile shops, identified by the headmen, including repair and service of mobile phones, computers, accessories as well as mobile phone recharging centres will be allowed to open from 9 am to 4 pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
Such shops are directed to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the government such as making hand sanitizers available in the shop, minimum staff deployment, wearing of face masks, prevent crowding customers in shops while following social distancing.
Sale of dry fish
Complying with the government notification, the West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner has informed that selling of dry and smoked fish will be permitted in the district. The DC has written to all Rangbah Shnongs to identify and submits the list of wholesalers to enable the office to regulate permission for transportation and selling of dry fishes as per advisories issued by Health & Family Welfare department.
