Meghalaya to be COVID-19 free soon: Tynsong

SHILLONG: Deputy Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Prestone Tynsong has stated that the hill state will soon become free from COVID-19 pandemic as eight of the positive patients have tested negative.

He also said that people should not panic as the disease is curable even though that the transmission rate off the disease is very high.

According to Tynsong, so far 1397 samples have been tested out of which 1288 have tested negative, and the results of 97 are being awaited.
