Contributions for CM’s relief fund

NONGSTOIN/Shillong/Jowai: The office of the Syiem Hima Nongstoin, Nongstoin Syiemship donated one lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on Wednesday.
The cheque was handed over to Nongstoin MLA, Macmillan Byrsat by the Syiem of Hima Nongstoin, EP Syiem. Byrsat will deposit it to the account of the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Syiem said that the relief sent by the Hima is a part of combating against COVID-19 in the state.
The Hima felt that it is their duty to help and be part in the good cause.
“Even if it the amount is more or less we should donate for the cause and in a situation like this, we should remember to do something for the interests of the people, Syiem said.
He also sent his prayers and blessing to the Chief Minister and his team to combat this pandemic.
He appeal to all the Hima’s and community leaders to contribute to the main cause through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
Nongstoin MLA. Macmillan Byrsat expressed his gratitude to the Syiem and his Dorbar for generously contributing to the fund for the purpose of the fight against COVID-19. “This is not about how much you are giving to the Government but this is about the spirit that Hima Nongstoin contributed and is cooperating with the government in fighting this deadly virus “ said Byrsat.
Seng Khasi Kmie

The Seng Khasi Kmie donated Rs 1 lakh for the Chief Minister Relief Fund. The cheque was handed over at the office of the Under Secretary, Chief Minister’s Office, Secretariat.
Church donates
In Jowai, the Presbyterian Church, Rattacherra village donated Rs 1 lakh toward the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for combating Covid-19.
Pastor of the church, Dewanker Dhar along with church elder Desous Pohshna handed the cheque to East Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the Dorbar Shnong, Chilliangraij Jowai also contributed Rs. 50, 000 towards the fund.
