SHILLONG: The United Hynniewtrep Movement (UHM) Central Executive Council has asked the state government to make arrangements with regard to home-delivery of food items as well as water for the citizens during curfew, a statement issued here said.
It suggested that water tanks should be used to supply water.
The organisation also appealed to the MLAs not to make things political during such crisis, stating that as per the knowledge of the UHM, the legislators have been distributing rice only to a section of their constituency which are allegedly their vote banks.
The UHM also condoled the passing away of Dr John L Sailo Ryntathiang, a renowned doctor from the state, who died due to COVID-19.
