City club extends wishes on Rabindra Jayanti

SHILLONG: The members of Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban, have extended wishes on the occasion of 159th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore.
“The members of Rabindranath Tagore Club, Laban, Shillong wishes Happy Rabindra Jayanti. Due to COVID-19 this year, the club is not celebrating the birth anniversary of Tagore,” a statement said on Friday.
The members also expressed gratitude to the health officials, frontline workers, politicians, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, among others, for rendering their service towards the state in the midst of the nationwide lockdown in view of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
