SHILLONG: If the prolonged lockdown is getting boring, then here is something to spruce up your life within the four walls.
Filmmaker Commander Shangpliang has started a video-from-home competition where anyone can send video showcasing his or her talent.
There are already over 100 entries, which have been uploaded on Commander Shangpliang Film channel on YouTube.
The competition, which started in the last week of April, has a sincere message.
“We are rejecting any video that is shot outdoors. The video should be shot at home. We want to encourage people to stay home in this time of crisis,” said Shangpliang.
The video has to be less than three-minute duration.
“Many people have already sent us their videos of singing, dancing and other talents. Some videos were rejected because those were more than three minutes,” Shangpliang said.
The filmmaker also pointed out that the initiative was taken because people are not being able to go out and this competition will give them an opportunity to not only showcase their talents but also have a source of entertainment.
