SHILLONG: North Shillong MLA Adelbert Nongrum on Monday asserted that no one of the residents of Harijan Colony had apprised him of the water crisis in the area.
“The allegations by some residents with regard to informing me about the water problems are not true,” he said while reiterating that nobody has apprised him on the matter nor has he received any letter from the residents.
The MLA also made it clear that the lady who raised the allegation does not belong to North Shillong constituency.
It may be mentioned that the MLA had urged the government to arrange AC trains with medical facilities for the stranded citizens who are coming back to the state.
