Nurses light lamps on International Nurses Day

SHILLONG: The Trained Nurse Association of India (TNAI) NEIGRIHMS Unit, on Tuesday, organised a lamp-lighting ceremony to observe the 200th birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale, founder of modern nursing. The ceremony was held with a small gathering and by maintaining social distancing in the OPD area of the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS).
DM Thappa, director of NEIGRIHMS, was the chief guest on the occasion.
The other dignitaries were David Umdor, deputy director, NEIGRIHMS and R Khonglah, Nursing Superintendent among others.
