GHADC non-gazetted staff seek release of revised pay

SHILLONG: The Non-Gazetted Employees Association of Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) said that the employees had not been paid the revised pay and allowances from April 2018.
The association said the revised pay and allowances was to be granted to the employees from April 2018, however, there was no action taken.
In March, the Council received Rs 24 crore but the pay of only March 2018 was release for the employees, the association said in a statement. In addition, Rs. 2.93 crore also has been received by the GHADC which is reportedly going to be utilised for the payment of pay and allowances as per old scale pay for April.
While asserting that their daily lives has affected due to this, the association has urged the government to take appropriate steps in order to provide a long-term solution in this regard.
