NONGPOH: All shops and services in Nongpoh and Umsning towns are allowed to open on alternate days starting from Monday as per the arrangement of the Nongpoh and Umsning Town Committees and Village Dorbar. Barber shops and other grooming centres with high person to person contacts are not allowed to open, said the order issued by the Ri Bhoi district magistrate.
Home delivery and take away services by restaurants, cafes, food outlets and tea shops are also allowed.
The headmen of Nongpoh and Umsning Town Committee in coordination with the district police will regulate the operation of shops and services and commercial establishments in the respective localities to ensure compliance with the advisory of the government.
