Govt to legalise home-made wine

SHILLONG: The state government is considering to issue license for manufacture and sale of home-made fruit wine in order to promote production of fruit based wine in the state and encourage the sale in domestic and international markets. In this regard, the government said a draft new rule was uploaded in the Meghalaya state portal for any suggestions and views from the citizens of the state, which can be communicated  to the Commissioner of Excise, Lower Lachumiere on or before June 9.
The government said suggestions can also be sent by hard copy or email at [email protected]
