SHILLONG: Bethany Hospital will start functioning from Saturday.
Kyntiewlang Sanmiet, spokesperson of the hospital, said the decision was taken following the inspection by the officials of health, Shillong Municipal Board and Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board and the subsequent clearance by the government.
The hospital will reopen at 12 noon after it was shut down for 40 days due to COVID-19.
The hospital has been fully sanitised as per government guidelines, the spokesperson said.
“We have also polished our ways of working to prevent viral transmission and we want to share the good news that none of our staff was tested positive for COVID-19”, the spokesperson said in a statement.
