GUWAHATI: Nagaland reported one more COVID19 positive case on Tuesday, a day after the state registered its first three coronavirus cases.
“Another returnee from Chennai has been tested COVID19 positive at Kohima. With this, we have four active cases. Contact tracing is being activated,” state health and family welfare minister, S Pangnyu Phom informed on Tuesday.
The three cases that were detected on Monday too were from among the returnees from Chennai.
Phom however said that the COVID-19 positive cases in the state were anticipated with the inflow of returnees.
“We knew that the virus will not spare our state when we decided to bring all returnees back. Let us stay positive and fight this pandemic together. Do not discriminate the front line workers and do not panic because together we can,” he said.
