Assam Police realises over Rs 27 lakh for not wearing masks

GUWAHATI: Assam Police have so far realised Rs 27,31,500 as fines for not wearing a mask in public place in violation of COVID protocols imposed by the Government of India.

Total 5,463 people were fined across Assam. “In order to ensure your own safety and that of everyone around, we request everyone to always wear a Mask in public,” Assam DGP , Bhaskar J Mahanta said.
