SHILLONG: The Executive Engineer, PWD (Roads), Sohra Division, Sohra, has ordered temporary closure of Mawkdok Khadarshnong Road for all types of heavy and medium vehicles. “Only light motor vehicles (LMV) are allowed to ply after temporary restoration,” a statement said on Thursday.
The order comes in the aftermath of the downpour-induced landslide and collapse of slab culvert and face wall at 18th km of Mawkdok Khadarshnong Road on Monday.
