DC reviews construction works in WGH

TURA:West Garo Hills Deputy Commissionet, Ram Singh on Tuesday reviewed construction works in thedistrict and held a Meeting with various line departments comprising of PWD (Roads), PWD (Building), PMGSY, PHE, Tura Municipal Board, Labour department and the Tura Market Dealers dealing with Hardware, Electrical, Electronics at DRDA Hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises, Tura.

While discussing related issues during the meeting, Ram Singh directed those concerned officials to start their respective construction works including roads, buildings, PMGSY and other projects of their respective department as early as possible, but to employ labourers already available in the district. He also informed that during this present kind of situation services of workers from outside the state, is not advisable and suggested all the departments to comply with the guidelines and protocols issued by the Government of India and Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya in their respective work place.
