Assam’s confirmed COVID-19 cases zoom to 2473

GUWAHATI:  With detection of 76 more new COVID-19 positive cases on Sarturday – 23 in  Dhubri, 22 in Darrang,12 in  Kamrup Metro, 7 in Dibrugarh, 5 in  Barpeta, 3 in Dhemaji, 2 in Sonitpur, 2 in Bongaigaon , the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam went up to 2473.

The figure includes 588 recovered patients and 1878 active patients and four deaths.  Earlier, 79 recovered patients were discharged from various hospitals in the state on Saturday.

The first COVID-19 patients in Assam were detected on March 31 and had direct connection to Tablighi Jaamat at Nizamuddin in Delhi.
