Chief Justice visits South Garo Hills

TURA: Chief Justice of Meghalaya, Biswanath Somaddar on Tuesday paid his maiden visit to Baghmara in South Garo Hills District. He was accompanied by his wife.

District officials including Deputy Commissioner, H B Marak, Superintendent of Police, Priyanshu Pandey in the presence of ADCs, BDOs, EACs, executive magistrates and other heads of departments received Somaddar at the helipad arranged at Baghmara Sports Playground.

After checking in at the Circuit House Baghmara, the Chief Justice inspected the under construction permanent court complex at Baghmara and the Judicial Building at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office complex. Somaddar also visited the Pitcher Plant Sanctuary located in the heart of the town.
