KSU sends back two entering SWKH

MAWKYRWAT: The Khasi Student’s Union (KSU) South West Khasi Hills District along with its units, on Monday, apprehended two people from outside the state at Weiloi, East Khasi Hills, who intended to enter South West Khasi Hills and send them back to Shillong.
General secretary of the union, Jiedskhem Nongsiej, informed that the two persons — one from West Bengal and another from Assam — were travelling in a Sumo (ML-05-8575). Nongsiej said that they did not possess valid documents.
The union, while addressing the district administrations of East Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills, said that it will not accept the entry of outsiders into the state. The union said that if any COVID-19 positive case was detected in South West Khasi Hills or Mawsynram, East Khasi Hills, the government will be held responsible, while urging its units to be on alert for outsiders entering state.
